This is just a post to help bring together all the ideas floating around there about planets, so that when e gets around to throwing them into the game he has somewhere to look.

I have some cool ideas myself, but I'll wait to see what pops up  12

i want to be able to put surface to space guns on planets after you make one out of materials, and you should then be able to land your ships in some kind of protection there so you have a place to put them if you dont want to reserve but it should be possible to capture planets with ships with lots of marines and guns to take out surface to space and you should be able to capture other peoples ships on plannet

I like the idea of huge cannons.... although i think that if they were constructed in space like orbiting stations or something (completely jacked off the halo MAC Cannon  laugh) then that would also be wicked. Plus having a large ship construction device or something that takes 10% of the cost off or increases accuracy and shielding due to advanced development techniques or something of the sort.

Any ideas on how these massive things should be constructed?

i think that with planets should come new ecenomic benefits as well. i meen think about it... is growing crops on a spaceship even remotly natural? not to mention planets should open up new mining oportunities

that would be pretty cool... could also have different types of ground forces? sorta like ship designer sept rly dumbed down for planet forces (which could be loaded up and used on other planets)
