Alright so i think i remember seeing plnty of comments on how redundant missions are and personally i feel like i never have enough time to do them (or atleast enough of them) and with planets now, we need a LOT more segs. To solve this i propose a new technology titled something to the effect of contracting beacon or mission license or something. Name aside, this technology will allow automated forces to carry out x # of missions at y difficulty witch deposit a % of their rewards (perhaps just items or every other item idk) into a new part of the secret asteroid base (prty much just item and seg storage).

note that the tech could be split in two (1 for encryp lvl and 1 for # of missions)

alright... so lemme know what u guys think about this. personally, i think if u tweek the costs right it wont be terrible unbalanced and it will let a all players devote more time (and turns) to the other aspects of the game.

-edit-

as far as encryp lvl exp goes idk what should happen. maybe none at all or a tenth or something.

It takes me a hour to burn a days worth of turns, I don't think that is very long its less if I don't do encrypts.

Now what you are asking for is a bot to play the game for you. The TOS forbids bots of any kind so I doubt Sir Emi would add one.

If you don't know what a bot is go here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet_bot

no not a bot just a way to farm lower lvl missions. it would help refresh the missions out there and keep the game moving. maybe not good for main... but there just aren't enough ppl on wars. if this is a bot then so are workers, colonists and mining facilities.

-edit-

what i meen to say is that there are alrdy ways to generate a constant supply of workers, colonists, turns, exp (cp to a limited extent), resources (if your big) and cash. there should be some way (even if limited) to generate a constant amount of segs, cp and items. it is inconsistent. what i am suggesting accomplishes this and more. my idea also refreshes the missions out there and provides a way of gaining constant resources for smaller players.

note that this would be researchable... so its not free and turns saved may not even balance out turns spent so it would still work for people that want to only do it the existing way.

Ok I'm taking another look at it putting my opinions in a drugged stupor.

As long as it is not as effective as playing the game manually It might work. But I see a few issues with it still ill post later when I'm awake.

haha ya... there are definitely some tricky balancing issues... the idea is more or less just to offer alternative ways to gain resources that currently are almost mission exclusive. it diversifies potential play styles. maybe also limit max contractor lvl to like 1/4 of player decrypt?
