Question About Defense

Does the defense of a fleet decress after it get attacked?

Here is an example

My Fleet
Fleet A 5,000 Ships 10,000 Defense Each

Attacking Fleet
Fleet B 3,000 Ships 2,000 Attack Each
Fleet C 2,000 Ships 5,000 Attack Each

Fleet A is attacked by Fleet B
Fleet A has 500,000,000 HP worth of Defense
Fleet B does 6,000,000 Damage
Fleet A takes not loses

Fleet C attacks Fleet A
Fleet As Defense it now 494,000,000 becasue Fleet B did damage to its defense
Fleet C does 10,000,000 Damage to fleet As defense
Fleet A has 484,000,000 HP worth of Defense Left and took no loses

Or if more than one fleet attacks one fleet does the defense stay the same as long as there are the same number of ships?
