i think it's mean and sick - and another good reason for being particularly careful about who you allow to join your alliance. i have passed up on a dozen join requests because of the situation with (abuse of - in any other game anywhere) alts. i accept very few people. i think if people stole my alliance i would truly HATE them forever.

yeah. but what if you liked the name the way it was. and liked the alliance as a whole. you'd lose something nice. would you go to allies or just take matters in your own hands? see it is a hot topic.

Has anyone ever staged a coup and taken over an alliance?

no. i just wanted to know what people thought and would do about hostile take over. i understand it is better to have a stronger alliance. but what if it didn't matter power. what if it only mattered on that you really really liked your alliance.

The problem is dark, the ONLY way to take over an alliance is to get more votes then the leader. Hence why, back in the old days, it was easier, because people weren't as loyal then, and alliances were coming and going. People just voted for the strongest person at the time. Now, a hostile takeover is ni impossible, too much loyalty in alliances.

I hate to admit that i agree with you but your right and besides anymore why would anyone want to take over. It's alot of work being leader of a good alliance.
