Hall of fame made by voting

aight so we got 1 type of hall of fame which consists of the top 10 players, but noone says theyr the best ones, as some of em have been paying their way there or something, so my suggestion is to make another type of hall of fame where the players themselves can vote for who they think deserves to be on that list. the voting could start once a round ends or something... this is just a basic suggestion who struck me 2 mins ago, but i hope itll end up in something =P

I think... you are basically saying make something like Seither's top 10 commanders and alliances an official vote ingame...

the problem with this is, it makes the hall of fame into a popularity contest, one which will be very difficult to judge with multi's and alts everywhere...

I mean, BigBroni might deserve #1 or something, but everyone's personal favorite is say, FTP, because h made some funny jokes or something in chat one day.

Bigbroni gets 100 votes tot hose who actually payed attention, then 1000 noobs and others vote for the person who 'made the funny comment' even though FTP may not have even tried that round, and there FTP is proclaimed 10x better the bigbroni. 

see my point?  I just... don't really see how this could work without being a giant popularity contest...  maybe with a set number of people to 'poll' like have it set to the spaceo council, maybe, where they decide whot here favourite players or most deserving people are that round...  but at that point, you may as well make it into different awards, like:
'hardest worker'
'biggest power jump'
'funniest ship name'
'best attacker'
'best defender'
and so on...
